June was a particularly active month for the Customaite team. We exhibited at both the Transport & Logistics conference in Munich and the Multimodal event in Birmingham, while also hosting our annual on-site customer gathering in between.
This was our first time exhibiting at Messe München, and we were genuinely impressed. The scale of the exhibition is difficult to convey. Our booth was located in one of twelve halls, each covering approximately 11,000 square metres, which is more than one and a half football fields.
With over 77,000 visitors and more than 2,700 exhibitors from 73 countries, the event exceeded expectations.
Despite the scale, we look back with satisfaction. Our live demos drew significant attention, and we engaged in meaningful conversations with both prospects and existing customers. There was also strong interest in our session titled “The human factor in making AI a success,” which touched on how people and technology must evolve together to drive lasting value. It was encouraging to see how many attendees resonated with the message.
A particularly valuable exchange took place with Borisav Parmakovic, CEO of Digicust. We shared reflections on the challenges of building technology in our domain and agreed that there is ample room for multiple players to thrive.
Given the high level of interest at our stand, we were not able to explore much beyond Hall 6. The team alternated briefly to visit other areas, but staffing the booth remained the priority throughout.
Lessons for next time
Multimodal was the first major event where we had our own booth back in 2024, and it remains a highlight for us. This year, we returned with a larger presence. We also rebooked accommodation nearby, a 17th-century cottage that offered some welcome calm between exhibition days, although it may soon be affected by nearby infrastructure works.
Compared to Munich, Multimodal is more compact and offers a more accessible, personal setting. This facilitated spontaneous interactions between prospects and current customers, several of whom kindly shared their positive experiences with Customaite on the spot.
Our Chief of Product, Bram Vanschoenwinkel, drew strong interest with his talk on how to unlock real value through AI.
Adding to the parallels with Munich, we had another insightful exchange with a peer from the industry, this time with Adnan Zaheer, CEO of iCustoms. It is encouraging to see constructive dialogue among companies striving to improve customs processes through technology.
While footfall appeared slightly lower than in 2024, peak periods brought strong engagement, and we remained consistently active with demos and discussions.
Lessons for next time
Looking ahead
Both events generated promising new leads, and our team is now focused on follow-up meetings and closing new deals. The results so far feel like a well-earned return on the time and effort invested.
If you would like to meet us in person later this year, we will be exhibiting at the Retail Supply Chain & Logistics Expo (stand R1262in London on 12 and 13 November 2025. We hope to see you there.
